Shortly after I posted about the bees, they did move on, if only as far as to the other end of the house. By mid-afternoon they'd decided it was more pleasant over by the driveway and so clustered together on a small tree branch just outside the garage. They stayed there until sometime Saturday morning and then moved again, this time about 50 feet away and thankfully a bit further from the house. The swarm ended up on the driveway slope where they stayed until sometime Sunday morning. I was worried they'd found a suitable underground site for a colony; I really didn't want a colony right next to the driveway. But sometime Sunday they all flew off, I hope they found a good place to call home.
