Not much of a baby anymore, here is Scipio, enjoying my spinning time in his own way. He can be quite well behaved, once I've convinced him to leave the yarn alone. I do have to be careful, I was plying some singles and one of his eyebrow whiskers got twisted up in the plying. I had to break the whisker off. He just went back to sleep.

Red-tail Hawk babies

Anna's Hummingbird babies to be
and momma
She is just a few feet outside the family room window.

(a few days later...) Here are the hatchlings!  I'm pretty sure the one with the open mouth just hatched this morning.

  1. Wow, Scipio looks great!

I just love the baby bird photos. We get all sorts of baby birds in our yard every year, but I can't usually get to the nests.

  2. This nest is only about 4 feet off the ground. Silly hummingbirds!

  3. What cute babies! Your kitty looks so content sitting there, what a great way to spin (other than the whisker thing).
