Almost...

Toasty Iced cardigan is almost finished. I'm working on the garter stitch collar now, and since its garter stitch it goes along pretty quickly. Hopefully I'll be steam blocking later today, and adding a new FO picture to the blog tomorrow. Which reminds me, I still need to buy some plastic snaps for this thing.

I hate to leave the blog post without a picture; so I offer this. Part fascination, part blech
These things turn into moths that are almost as big as hummingbirds.

  1. Lovely bug. Bleah.

My husband pulled a bug out of the pool filter today and almost screamed. He asked if I knew what it was; it was a Jerusalem Cricket--the scariest-looking bug in the world, in my opinion. Totally harmless, fortunately, but really awful looking.

  2. I know what you mean about Jerusalem Crickets. We grew up calling them potato bugs. I always feel sort of guilty for wanting to squash them on sight. I don't squash them though, because they would just get grosser.
